OM WORKSHOPPEN
The first part of the workshop will be a warm-up through improvisation that will aim to explore different improvisation techniques, as well as performance and theatrical qualities. We will work to identify and break personal patterns of movement, and play with switching through different emotions and characters and how this could influence our movement. The second part of the workshop will focus more on dance composition and the different techniques one can use to choreograph, as well as the vast possibilities of what choreography can be. Finally, we will teach our compositions to each other to also nurture the development of the interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively as a choreographer/director as well as learn each other’s phrases to create a spontaneous dance choreography.
UNDERVISEREN SIGER OM WORKSHOPPEN
“My ultimate goal for this workshop is to inspire a sense of confidence in the ability to allow oneself the freedom to explore improvisation and choreography without the demands of producing for success. I hope to create a space for the dancers where they can begin their explorations through a great sense of joy and curiosity.”
