Concert: ILT X Thor Arnarsson

Thor Arnarsson blends the traditional Icelandic musical landscape with modern electronic and ambient elements. He pays tribute to his Icelandic roots while taking the listener on a cinematic and dreamlike journey.

Having grown up in Denmark from the age of 11, Thor has always maintained a strong connection to Icelandic choral music. He has sung in the Icelandic Choir of Aarhus as well as the band Thorhan, which explores both Icelandic and Turkish folk music. With his unique sound, Thor reinterprets Icelandic ballads and folk traditions with a fresh perspective. His music is marked by deep, warm electronic soundscapes intertwined with the simple yet powerful melodic qualities of Icelandic folk traditions.

Through his epic, atmospheric arrangements, Thor Arnarsson creates a space where the Icelandic soul merges with electronic avant-garde. It is music that invites reflection while allowing the listener to be completely immersed in its cinematic mood.
