South Buncombe Ice Cream Social at Lake Julian Shelter 6

Save the Date for the South Buncombe Cluster Ice Cream Social on Saturday September 6th from 2-5pm. It will be under cover at Lake Julian Shelter #6 - enter from Hendersonville Rd just south of the train trestle/Post 25.

We'll have ice cream sandwiches and pops and non-dairy treats and beverages and fun and activities and elected officials to hear from and candidates circulating to talk with and much more!

One new aspect will be creating "Love Notes" that go into food boxes distributed by Bounty & Soul. Food distributions are needed more than ever thanks to the BBB's cuts to SNAP and other food assistance. The "Love Notes" will remind people that hard times do not define them and that people like us care about them. Supplies to create these notes will be provided; non-perishable food donations welcome too.
