Get ready for a high-energy afternoon of swing, jazz, and rock with The Explosion Big Band — a 17-piece big band led by Doug Haining and Scott Agster!
The Explosion Big Band brings together a repertoire of rock and swing and compositions by Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, Clare Fischer, Pat Metheny, and others.
About the Band Leaders:
* Doug Haining (sax & clarinet) has been delighting audiences for over 30 years. He performs in pit orchestras in local theaters and leads the beloved Twin Cities Seven swing band.
* Scott Agster (trombone) moved to Minneapolis in 2005 to study at the University of Minnesota and is now an active performer, composer, and trombone instructor with many local jazz groups.
