Community Ownership - Shall we buy the Hen Hole (Bird ith Hand) Together?

You may be wondering why a community might want to take on this work?
The idea behind it is to save work in the long run and to protect local spaces for community use. At the minute we have to rely on grant funding to keep the doors at CommUnity Corner open and to do the good stuff in the community. That takes time and a lot of bid writing and monitoring reporting. Money often comes with strings and you can end up doing what the funders want rather than what the community wants.
If we could buy the Hen Hole and the flats above them then we’d become more sustainable through the rental income. We’d have more control and we’d able to offer some community owned housing based on contribution to community life.
