Summer Reading Kickoff Party

Join us as we kick off a colorful summer of reading, creativity, and fun! This year’s theme, Color Our World, is all about celebrating imagination and self-expression—and we’re starting things off with a splash of color!


From 4–6 PM, come inside the library to sign up for our Summer Reading Program—open to kids, teens, and adults. Track your reading minutes all summer long to earn prizes and enter our grand prize drawings!


Enjoy hands-on activities inspired by the theme, including a "Make a Dot" station based on The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. Your dot will become part of a collaborative mural displayed in the library for all to see.


Head outside to our back parking lot, transformed into a giant chalk art canvas, where you can let your inner artist run wild and help color our world with creativity. The library will be decked out in vibrant decorations to match the fun.


Then stick around after the library closes for a live outdoor concert by Corey Hunt and the Wise from 6–7 PM. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the music with family and friends! This program will be great for the whole family!
