Guided Forest Walk: Arcata Community Forest

The City of Arcata Recreation Division is hosting a community walk guided by Cal Poly Humboldt students who are members of the Redwood Chapter of Environmental Educators and Interpreters. Your guides will identify and highlight the history and ecology of the Arcata Community Forest. Bring sturdy hiking footwear and water bottle. Please dress accordingly to stay warm, dry and comfortable. Walk will be cancelled if there is HEAVY rain or excessive wind, anything our interpreters deem as UNSAFE CONDITIONS. The group will plan to depart from the picnic area by 10 a.m. so please arrive early to the Redwood Park Picnic Area located next to the Redwood Lodge. The hike is expected to last until about 11 a.m.
