Bringing You the Hecla Triathlon Detour - Arborg Edition!
Due to road work in Hecla, north of the Village, with the movement of a ~1km section of the road over due to erosion damage, we're excited to announce that this year's triathlon will take a scenic detour to Arborg, MB.
🏊Swim: Dive into the Access Aquatic Centre, a great outdoor pool, for a timed lap swim. No wetsuit needed, no sun glare, no open water waves. It's going to be a smooth, seamless start to your race!
🚴Bike: Hit the highway, which is in phenomenal shape, for a fast out-and-back ride. The quiet highway, with smooth pavement, will help you achieve a very fast bike split!
🏃Run: Enjoy a picturesque run along the Icelandic River. The beautiful scenery will keep you motivated and energized throughout the course.
Post Race: We have a full lunch included to help refuel and aid in recovery!
This year’s event will be the Long Course Provincial Championship, as well as the 2026 World Qualifier race where the top age group female and male athletes can make their way onto the Canadian National Team for the following races:
