Three Springs
Three Springs is an indie rock-ish, at times slightly funky and experimental rock’n'roll band hailing from Door County, Wisconsin. The group was formed by Memphis transplant Paul Taylor as an outlet for many of his songs and instrumentals which have previously only existed in recorded form on solo releases under his own name (and his nom de plume New Memphis Colorways) but has turned into a vehicle for new material written specifically for, and with, the band. Rounding out the trio are Door County native John Frater on bass and Menominee, MI native Adam Cain on drums.
Soultru
For more than 15 years, singer-songwriter Terrance Banks has performed music under the name Soultru. For many of those years, he worked as a solo act, singing soulful tunes or delivering a more melodic rap flow. However, he was unaware of the history and roots that shaped him into the artist he is today.
Terrance grew up in Davenport, Iowa, and Rock Island, Illinois, within a large family with members who opened for The Temptations (original lineup), Ready For The World, The Deele (Babyface and L.A. Reid's band), George Clinton, and many others in Davenport, Iowa. However, many of them eventually walked away from music, and Terrance didn't
learn much about this until recently.
He is currently touring and is a few singles away from finalizing the last few songs for his first solo LP coming out in 2025 through The Record Machine Kansas City Missouri.
Gold Standard
Gold Standard is excited to be back at ABF with their signature blend of bluegrass and soul; making it look easy, sounding smooth and getting folks on the dance floor. Lead by recent LU grad Kate Stenson’s sultry vocals and hot violin, the ear-catching tunes ring out with harmony and break down into wild string adventures and guitar pyrotechnics from these Fox Valley music scene veterans. Gold Standard is an all-original progressive bluegrass band with influences of soul, jazz, and folk, featuring Northeast Wisconsin legends Ian Moore, Gregg Daigle and Loren Dempster. Through layered vocal harmonies, catchy duet riffs, and playful lyrics, Gold Standard takes listeners on an uplifting journey. Gold Standard had an exciting first year on the scene - playing at Appleton Beer Factory, Paradise North Distillery, the Train Station, Wisconsin Bluegrass Bash, and SilverCreek Bluegrass Fest, with Kate and Gregg playing Mile 12 with other projects. Gold Standard is currently working on their first full length with TRS Recording in Oshkosh.
