Follow the law when transporting your equipment to this course
Pursuant to California Penal Code section 25610, a United States citizen over 18 years of age who is not prohibited from firearm possession, and who resides or is temporarily in California, may transport by motor vehicle any irearm provided it is unloaded and locked in the vehicle’s trunk or in a locked container. Furthermore, the firearm must be carried directly to or from any motor vehicle for any lawful purpose and, while being carried must be contained within a locked container.
Pursuant to California Penal Code section 16850, the term “locked container” means a secure container that is fully enclosed and locked by a padlock, keylock, combination lock, or similar locking device. This includes the trunk of a motor vehicle, but does not include the utility or glove compartment.
When you pack your firearms for transport to the course, be aware of which direction your muzzle is pointed in your case or range bag. I suggest marking your case or range bag with a marker or piece of tape so you know which way your firearm is pointed when you arrive at the range. This insures when you are uncasing your firearm(s) they will be in a safe direction.
When you arrive for this course, all firearms MUST be unloaded. If you arrive with a loaded firearm, you may be asked to leave and no refund will be given.
DO NOT bring a loaded firearm to this course!
For semi-automatic firearms, unloaded means the magazine is out and you have visually and physically inspected that the chamber is empty.
For revolvers the cylinder is open and all chambers have been physically and visually inspected as empty.
All ammunition must be factory new. No reloads or steel core ammunition is allowed.
Do not pre-load your magazines. You should arrive with all EMPTY magazines.
