High Desert Astronomical Society 40th Anniversary and Artwalk!!!!!!!!!!

Calling all local artists and creatives—applications are now open for the HiDAS 2025 ArtWalk.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, August 16th from 3 PM to 8 PM at the Luz Observatory. We’re celebrating HiDAS’ 40th anniversary by looking back and reaching beyond, and we’d love to feature artists from across the High Desert.

This is a family-friendly community event, and we’re looking for a variety of creators—visual artists, makers, and anyone interested in sharing their work. Booth spaces are limited, so be sure to apply early.

The ArtWalk will be followed by a Public Observation Night, where guests are invited to stay and experience guided telescope viewing and night-sky exploration hosted by HiDAS.
