@everyone
Last year when Milton decided to alter the lives of each and every resident in our little community, I wanted to have a community BBQ to celebrate how we came together as a community and got through it as such!
Well, that, unfortunately didn’t pan out because we didn’t have ANY help from the people in charge of allowing and assisting in these matters, although we were told we would get it!
PLEASE ,believe me when I say it wasn’t without great effort!!
So much to the point Jessica even tried helping bring it to fruition, yet to no avail.
Now that all the dust has settled from all of it, and following the ridiculous of having neighbors setting off loud ass fireworks at 2-4 am on the 4th last year, I have decided to try and get this done, again!
So, around the first of the year I went and bought $500.00 of serious Ariel fireworks, similar to what you’d expect from a city display.
I want to, and am going to pledge to obtain the permits to allow us, Covington Park Residents, and am praying we get better results or promises kept through Rozzetta than we did the PDD.
My plan is going to do a lot of wonderful things for our community!
Starting with a safe place for community members to enjoy one of the, if not THE most important day of the year in celebration of our country’s independence, on the 4th of July, which thankfully this year falls on a Friday!
I am hoping the pool is finally once again safe, and the playground if once again safe, so all of our children have safe places to play.
I will also want to gather a BBQ team! If enough people are willing to help out, and provide food, charcoal, drinks(non alcoholic please) and paper plates, plastic utensils, and paper cups, we can help make it work for those that cannot help out, but don’t want to feel left out because of it, as we planned last year after Milton.
Beginning the initial planning process now will get us there in great fashion for sure!
ALL residents are welcome to bring their own fireworks for everyone to enjoy as well!
I am posting this now to get some thoughts on it, and a lot of help in both planning and providing the necessary resources to make it happen!
