Red Clay Renaissance Art Contest

Share what inspires you about Red Clay during the Red Clay Renaissance Art Contest!


Artists of all media are welcome to participate. The theme of the show this year is Listening to the Land. The land at Red Clay speaks through the waters of the Council Spring, the trees that tower over the council grounds, and the red soil beneath your feet. What do you hear when you listen to Red Clay?

Submissions are due via the Google Forms link by June 28th. Winners will be notified by July 5th. Physical pieces must be delivered to the Visitor Center by August 2nd.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded in each division:
9th - 12th grade
Adult - Amateur
Adult - Professional

Winning submissions will be announced at an opening reception on Saturday, August 9th at 2:30 PM during the Cherokee Cultural Celebration. Winners' pieces will be displayed in the Visitor Center through the end of November 2025.

Parking for the Cherokee Cultural Celebration will be in the field, with the cost of attendance being $5 per vehicle. We invite you to enjoy the Celebration before and after the opening reception!
