The "Maralinga Mile II" Motorsports Event Test and Tune 2025 at Maralinga Airstrip
** The Maralinga Mile was the conception of team members from Land Speed Racing Australia and Extreme Motorsports Association in 2024.
This is a unique event held at Maralinga Airstrip in South Australia that gathers all forms of motorsport vehicles to one place to test and tune their vehicles over a rolling mile on one of the biggest and widest Airstrips in Australia. This is a non timed or speed recorded event all about bringing awesome people, cars, bikes, trucks etc together in the one spot to have wide open throttle blast down this insane strip.
Primarily put together to help Dry Lake Racer teams prepare for Speedweek on Lake Gairdner, it has evolved into a test and tune for all vehicles, not just land speed dedicated vehicles. Superbikes, Drag Cars, Supercars, Drag Bikes, Trucks, Rally Cars, Go Karts, Electric Vehicles, Hydrogen Powered Hybrids...you name it!!!
3 full days of non stop runs down the Mile will sort any vehicle and driver out and conditions will be very cool.
Optional Catering and accommodation is available on top of unpowered camping sites so all you do is rock up with your vehicle and get on it!!!
