You’re invited to join your neighbours in Arisaig for the first in a series of community climate workshops hosted by Seniors for Climate (Antigonish). Other workshops will be held in Pomquet (November 1) and St. Andrews (November 15).
This Workshop will be held in the Arisaig Parish Community Centre.
These gatherings are all about creating space for open, welcoming conversations on how climate change is affecting our community—and what we can do together to prepare and respond.
What to Expect:
Documentary Screening: Listening to Our Neighbours, a locally produced film sharing community voices on climate impacts.
Whole Group Conversation: Share your reactions, stories, and ideas.
Small Group Discussions: Explore key issues like extreme weather, water conservation, and protecting our natural environment.
Municipal Climate Goals: Learn about Antigonish County’s Climate Change Action Plan and how local residents can play a role in reaching its goals.
Light refreshments will be provided, and StFX Service Learning students will join us in supporting the conversations.
Why Attend
Climate change touches every part of life in Antigonish County—our economy, our health, our culture, and our environment. By coming together in Arisaig, we can share knowledge, strengthen community connections, and shape a more resilient future.
This is more than a meeting - it’s a chance to make your voice heard and help guide local climate action.
All are welcome. Bring a friend, your questions, and your ideas.
This Workshop was funded by a Community Partnership Grant from the Municipality of the County of Antigonish.
