Dive into the deep blue with this immersive clay hand building workshop inspired by the vibrant life of coral reefs! In this session, participants will create a whimsical, ocean-inspired bowl with a matching lid, entirely by hand. You'll learn to shape and sculpt your own lidded bowl using sculpting, molds, slab and coil techniques, then decorate it with intricate coral textures, sea anemones, and reef-inspired embellishments.
This workshop emphasizes creative freedom and texture play — perfect for all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned clay artist, you’ll leave with a functional and beautiful piece that looks like it emerged from the ocean floor.
Workshop includes:
Guided instruction through all steps of hand building
Techniques for creating realistic coral textures and sculptural elements
Underglaze or glaze options to bring your reef to life
All materials, tools, and kiln firing provided
You will have to return after your piece has dried completely and bisqued so that you can glaze it for its second firing! This is included in the price!
