Class Experience
Ignite Your Creativity: Mixed Media Encaustic Collage Workshop
Transform ordinary materials into extraordinary art in this hands-on workshop where you'll discover the ancient, luminous medium of encaustic. Using hot beeswax as your adhesive, you'll create stunning abstract collages that capture light and texture in ways no other medium can.
Your artistic journey begins on a cradle board canvas, where you'll layer and compose with an enchanting variety of materials:
Delicate rice papers that catch the light
Curated printed designs that tell a story
Your own hand-stamped and stenciled creations
Textural elements like decorative screens and fabric
Dimensional wooden pieces that cast subtle shadows
Work with a sophisticated palette of earthy neutrals punctuated by vibrant turquoise and green, creating a harmonious yet dynamic visual experience.
Under expert guidance, you'll master fundamental design principles—balancing positive and negative space, creating visual rhythm, and developing rich value contrast. The grid pattern technique you'll learn provides a versatile foundation that can inspire countless future projects.
Join us to unlock new creative possibilities and take home a finished piece that's uniquely yours—a testament to your artistic exploration and newfound skills.
