IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION – KILLYMOON CREEK EXPLORE (ALL AGES/FAMILY EVENT)
Join us for a half day adventure exploring the stunning Killymoon Creek in Bowling Green Bay National Park — a hidden gem perfect for families and beginner hikers. This scenic creek walk offers minimal elevation and few obstacles, making it ideal for kids and those new to hiking. It’s a chance to immerse yourself in nature without the intensity of a steep mountain climb!
As we follow the creek upstream, we’ll explore a series of breathtaking waterfalls, crystal-clear cascades, and deep, refreshing pools. Whether you're snapping photos, splashing in the shallows, or simply soaking up the serenity, there’s something for everyone. So pack your water bottles, grab the kids, and come experience one of Townsville’s most family friendly hiking spots.
Nature’s playground awaits! There will be plenty of opportunities for swims during the morning!
We may not cover a lot of distance on this hike, with the objective being to share this experience with those new to the hiking group, families, kids and beginners, and to explore as many waterfalls and swimming spots as possible!
This event is suitable for all ages, fitness levels and abilities. Let’s allow 4 hours for the hike, with regular breaks.
**The creek is accessed via private property, with relevant permissions obtained**

We will MEET at the Annandale Central Shopping Centre (KFC Carpark) (75-91 MacArthur Dr, Annandale QLD) at 8am sharp for a pre-hike/safety briefing and to organise carpooling to the start point.
Please BE ON TIME and considerate of your fellow attendees by changing your RSVP if you cannot attend.
Please be open to CARPOOLING to reduce our environmental impact and traffic on the road.
