Lockerbie Sale 2025
Despite a whole heap of upheaval caused by the Society wanting a Carlisle only sale, when more sheep and more vendors were entered to Lockerbie. I can now confirm that Harrison & Hetherington will be holding a Dorset Sale at Lockerbie as planned on Friday August 29th 2025. However this sale will be run as a Scottish Club Sale and not a Society sale.
This means that the following rules apply:
Full members - no restrictions on entries male or female.
Associate members - 1 tup and no restrictions on females.
Juniors as equivalent full or associate membership.
Upsets - Tups £250, individual females £150.
Entry fees remain the same at £10 plus VAT.
Anyone already entered can amend their entries with Harrison & Hetherington, preferably ASAP and by end of week. Anyone now wishing to enter that hasn't done so, can do so, but again ASAP and by the end of the week. If you have already entered and no changes to make you don't need to do anything, no contact means entries as placed initially.
I will also add that we are all left severely disappointed in the handling of this sale by the Society and for all the Scottish members being treated as second class by those members in the Society elected to council to treat all members fairly and equally and the majority of them clearly failing miserably. It was never the Club's intention that we would have to do this, but is the only fair and just way to try and make right some of the Society's wrongs.
