You’re invited to my backyard for two days of leisurely sailing, evenings around a campfire, and even a swim in the pool!
I realise it’s a busy window, but if you’re not able to attend the RAID to Myall Lakes, or even if you plan on attending the Feast RAID on the Saturday down in Lake Mac, why not squeeze in a little Port Stephens adventure?
The plan is to sleep ashore at the Island Leisure Village (booking details below), where we can base-camp and then explore the beautiful waters of Port Stephens as the prevailing weather allows. We can return to shore where there are hot showers, a pool to cool down in, and a range of accomodation options (including cabins if your significant other wants to join but isn’t excited about a swag!)
As usual, every skipper is responsible for their own decisions, so sail and act according to your skills and limits.
A good ramp is available on site, though at low water it is a little shallow. For deeper launching needs, Lemon Tree Passage is only across the other side of the channel.
