About the event
Zinck's Night and New To Area Meet & Greet
Celebrate Zinck’s Night on the same day as over 90 Cornell Clubs around the world! This year we are combining it with a Meet & Greet of Alums new to the area.
It's a great chance to connect with fellow Cornellians, reminisce about days on the hill, network for business, and make new friends.
Join the Cornell Club of Michigan (CCMI) to celebrate Zinck's Night and meet those new to the area.
We will have a Reserved Section, available until 8:30 p.m. Attendees are welcome to hang out in non-reserved section of the Bar after the event, to continue socializing.
A Section in the back has been reserved for our Group, and the Club will provide some appetizers. Attendees can order and individually pay for additional Food & Drinks at the Bar
The history behind the International Spirit of Zinck’s Night:
Theodore Zinck was an Ithaca saloon owner whose pub, the Hotel Brunswick, was a popular haunt for Cornellians in the 1890s. When he died in 1903, a series of bars on and around Collegetown adopted his name over the years. The last one closed in the 1960s, and Cornellians started commemorating the spirit of Zinck’s Night by gathering at an establishment on a Thursday night, once a year. This tradition of undergraduates coming together to enjoy camaraderie and refreshments has grown into a gathering for Cornellians of all stripes everywhere
