In recognition of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, The Health & Fitness Center at Washtenaw Community College invites you to a special evening celebrating inclusion, wellness, and the power of movement. This event will showcase classes and programs designed to support individuals of all abilities and promote an inclusive approach to fitness and well-being.
𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺
Attendees will have the opportunity to experience short sample sessions of:
• Chair Yoga – An accessible yoga class experience.
• Meditation – A session focused on relaxation and mindfulness techniques.
• Sound Therapy – A class filled with soothing sounds to promote calm and focus.
• Mobility Class – A gentle movement session to improve range of motion and balance.
Guest speaker Eric Galvez, DPT, Founder/President Disability Guerrillas, will share insights on the benefits of exercise for individuals living with physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges.
