Enjoy the spirited stylings of the Balkan Paradise Orchestra live on stage at A2SF! Formed in Barcelona in 2015, the group is composed of musicians with backgrounds in classical, jazz, and modern, who all came together with a shared fascination for Balkan brass. What began as a street music project has now grown into a unique and groundbreaking band of ten brass, woodwind, and percussion instrumentalists that has toured numerous festivals in Europe and North America. They have released three albums, one EP, and received numerous awards for their eclectic, progressive music. Their most recent release is 2024’s Nèctar, an exciting and engaging set of songs inspired by the image of the beehive, representing both personal and collective effort. Throughout their musical journey, the group has consistently breathed fresh life into the musical panorama of Balkan sounds by bringing in rhythms from around the world. With festive music that is as global as it is traditional, the Balkan Paradise Orchestra brings joy and the desire to dance to every corner of the world.
