Artist Salon #2 - Grief and the Creative Process

Join Rising Voices Saturday, August 9th at the Ann Arbor Downtown Library for the second installment of our 2025 Amplify Artist Salon Series — a continuation of Rising Voices’ commitment to building spaces where artists and community members can connect through creative practice. This series invites us to use art as a jumping off point for conversation, reflection, and visioning around our shared AAPI histories, the present moment, and our collective futures.

For this salon, we'll be in conversation with artists Fatema Haque and Maya Kusunoki Martin, who both create work rooted in grief, healing, and transformation. A somatics coach and mental health professional will be present to offer support for anyone needing care while engaging in these deep and important conversations.

This event is free and open to all.
