We’re excited to announce the opening of “Between Voice and Silence,” a powerful new art exhibition featuring Ukrainian artists Katya Lisova, Матвей Вайсберг, and Irina Bondarenko. Through evocative artworks, the exhibit explores empathy and humanity during times of crisis, shining a light on how ordinary people play extraordinary roles in building resilience and saving their country.
Taking inspiration from the poetry and legacy of fallen Ukrainian poet Maksym Kryvtsov (Фонд імені Максима Кривцова), and borrowing its title from one of his works, the exhibition invites you into that “in-between” moment—where the power of the human heart and spirit takes center stage.
This exhibition is made possible by a UM Art Initiative Grant and is co-sponsored by the Center for Russian, East European, & Eurasian Studies (CREES) and UNWLA, Branch 50, Ann Arbor, MI.
Visit us at the Duderstadt Center Gallery and experience art that speaks to hope, loss, and the enduring strength of humanity.
