Alex Schroeder is a self-taught guitarist who began playing after graduating from Iowa State University, drawing inspiration from the singer-songwriters of the late ’60s and ’70s as well as the grunge and alternative sounds of the ’90s and 2000s. His performances feature a wide range of covers spanning the past 50 years alongside original songs he has written, with the goal of creating a vibrant, engaging atmosphere. For Alex, the true reward is connecting with an audience in the moment, a reminder of what first inspired him to pick up the guitar.
