Angier Guns & Ammo Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting

Join us as we officially welcome Angier Guns and Ammo to our Chamber family and to Angier!

Owner Matt Cotten is about as rooted in Angier as they come. His grandfather, Jay Cotten, served as Angier’s very first police chief. His great-grandfather, Ralph Matthews, opened Ralph’s BBQ—later carried on by Bud and Glenda Wimberley—and that same spot eventually became the beloved Sunny Skies Ice Cream.

Matt’s great-grandmother, Claudia Matthews, is even honored on the town gazebo plaque dedicated to “Those Who Loved Angier.”

For Matt and his family, Angier isn’t just home. It’s a legacy of service, love, and community spirit—and we’re proud to celebrate this new chapter with them.
