The next meeting for the Andover Caregivers Support group will be held on Thursday, October 23rd at 7PM. The location for the meeting is the downstairs children's room at the Andover Public Library. Please note that the library closes at 7PM, so if you plan to arrive after then, please use the back door for entry.
During this meeting, there will be resources available from Colebrook Village in Hebron and Buckingham Heights in Glastonbury, as well as a “Show and Tell” segment where participants share handy tips, tools, or gadgets that assist in caregiving.
The meeting provides a safe and welcoming space for individuals who are navigating the challenges, stresses, and rewards of caring for loved ones.
Caregiving can be a demanding journey, often accompanied by exhaustion, isolation, fear, and stress. This support group is designed to bring together individuals who are traveling the same road, offering a space to share experiences, learn about resources, and connect with others who understand firsthand the challenges of caregiving.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss practical tips, tools, and strategies for daily caregiving, as well as gain insight into available resources. Whether you have recently stepped into the role of caregiver or have been providing care for years, this group aims to foster a sense of community, reassurance, and encouragement.
Join us as we build a network of support, strength, and shared wisdom. For more information, please contact co-host Dianne Grenier at (860) 742-3033 or Cathy Palazzi at (860) 916-6122
PLEASE NOTE: This group will not be meeting in November or December, but will start once again on Thursday, January 29th.
