Join us for an extraordinary experience! While we've enjoyed many runs together, we're thrilled to announce our very first Special Event: The Lost Coast Run, a two-day journey packed with exhilarating drives and breathtaking scenery on June 28th and 29th! It's time to explore this iconic stretch of California! Here's a sneak peek at our itinerary:
Day 1: Twisty Turns to the Lost Coast (June 28th)
Our first-ever Lost Coast Run kicks off as we conquer the legendary Highway 36, a ribbon of asphalt known for its thrilling twists and turns as it carves its way towards the Pacific coast. Prepare for some serious driving pleasure and stunning inland vistas as we make our way from Redding!
Our overnight point is Ferndale, where we recommend booking a room at the Best Western Country Inn in nearby Fortuna. You can find more information and make reservations on their website: Best Western Country Inn Fortuna. After securing our lodging, we'll move on to the towering redwoods of the Avenue of the Giants. We'll take our time navigating this ancient forest, stopping for a optional hike to truly appreciate the sheer scale and silent grandeur of these giants.
As the day winds down, we'll gather for dinner and local brews at the Serra Eel River Brewery, the perfect spot to share stories from our first day exploring the Lost Coast.
Day 2: Cruising the Iconic Highway 1 & the Inland Scenic Route (June 29th)
Day two promises iconic coastal beauty as we embark on a drive along the legendary Highway 1 from Ferndale to Fort Bragg. Get your cameras ready for dramatic cliffs, rugged shorelines, and breathtaking ocean views. We'll take a break for lunch in Fort Bragg, soaking in the coastal atmosphere.
Our journey back to Redding will take us along scenic Highway 20, eventually connecting with I-5 for a smooth return home.
Please make your reservations with the Best Western Country Inn in Fortuna as soon as possible to secure your accommodation for this inaugural Lost Coast adventure! We look forward to exploring this incredible region with you.
