2025 marks the 100th birthday of Daphne Oram. To kick off the celebrations, the Oram Awards and Yorkshire Sound Women Network have teamed up to bring you an evening exploring Oram’s legacy through live performances, as well as a Mini-Oramics talk and workshop.
This event will feature:
5 - 7 pm Mini-Oramics Machine - talk & workshop with Tom Richards
7:45 - 8:45 pm YSWN x Changing Gear artists Helen Papaioannou, Cherry Seraph and Artists’ Child
8:55 pm Lou Barnell, a Sheffield-based winner of the Oram Award.

Gut Level is a not-for-profit venue and community space that aims to provide social and creative opportunities for underrepresented groups in Sheffield, with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ people, women and gender minorities.
Yorkshire Sound Women Network (YSWN)’s Changing Gear programme supports emerging women and minority gender music creators to make new electronic works, develop new technical skills and push creative boundaries. In partnership with PRS Foundation Talent Development Network, in its first year, three artists from Yorkshire and the Humber have been commissioned to make electronic music inspired by the innovative work and ideas of Daphne Oram
