Hi community. I’ve been nearing doing the finishing touches to having a functional cabin to stay in out in Knik. This space will serve as a home base while I go and study abroad the Bwiti tradition and Iboga as a student.
I have a handful of tasks that I need help with:
1-insulation
2-framing in two additional windows
3-framing in a door
4-wrapping the cabin in tyvek
5-moving the chimney and stove to the other side of the cabin.
6-putting fascia board up on the rafters
7-if we have time I’d love to put up siding
8- cut down some beetle K*ll for firewood
I’ve been going this project alone for many years and realized I could use some hands to help wrap it up. Everything is better done in community! Come help where you can, and let’s have a fire and potluck afterwards. It’s a beautiful nature-scape, several acres of dense birch trees and beautiful crawling devils club, with a trail that leads to the inlet. If nothing else come soak up some nature and cheerlead for us.
