The ACLU of Alaska defends the civil rights and liberties of all Alaskans through litigation, advocacy, and community engagement. We strive to create a more equitable state by partnering with a diverse network of Alaskans dedicated to preserving the rights guaranteed by the U.S. and Alaska Constitutions.

The ACLU of Alaska has worked in the state since 1971, but our work is even more critical in these times. Our approach to defending our rights and liberties requires us to come together to protect our most cherished values as Alaskans. Our priorities include preventing the mass deportation of immigrants and refugees, fighting for equality for queer and trans Alaskans, upholding basic constitutional rights for incarcerated Alaskans, protecting our first amendment and privacy rights, and advocating for free and fair elections.
