Be Part of Something Special
Celebrate the legacy of John R. Lewis by coming together for a community-focused day full of care, unity, and inspiration! This fun-filled, family-friendly event combines making a difference with enjoying music, food, and connection, all while honoring a civil rights icon.

Event Highlights
Food Drive for the Food Bank of Alaska:
Help support our neighbors in need by donating non-perishable canned goods. Look for the red barrels at key drop-off points or use the Food Bank's QR code to make a virtual donation. We will be accepting canned food only.

Drop-off Location: First Presbyterian Church parking lot (11am–7pm).

Evening Gathering on the Park Strip:

From 5–7pm, join us for an inspiring program featuring live music, readings, and songs to honor John Lewis’s life and message of unity. This gathering will bring together neighbors in a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere.

Live Performances: Enjoy acts from Alaskan artists showcasing the vibrancy of our community.

Tributes to a Legacy: Thoughtful readings and poetry paying homage to the movement.
