Interested in learning more about what's happening with Senior Services in Amherst? Join us for our next Cuppa' Joe with Paul on Friday, October 10 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Black Sheep Deli (79 Main Street).
All community members are welcome to join this informal event to connect with Amherst Town Manager Paul Bockelman and the new Director of Senior Services Lisa Borchetta.
Lisa began as the new Director of Senior Services at the beginning of September. She joins Amherst with a robust background in senior services administration, human services support, and mental health counseling. As she begins her work, Lisa has spent the past month meeting with staff, seniors, and community partners to learn about Amherst’s values and needs. At this event, she is eager to connect with the broader community to discuss how to make Amherst an even better place for older adults to thrive, focusing on expanded programming and new intergenerational initiatives
The “Cuppa’ Joe with Paul” events are monthly and rotate locations around the Town. Each time, Paul is joined by a different Town department head or official who provides insights into their area of focus. Residents and others are welcome to share their concerns, offer suggestions, or just get to know each other.
