The National Seed Health System (NSHS) and the Online Graduate Program in Seed Technology and Business (STB) at Iowa State University are excited to announce that registration is now open for the hands-on seed health testing short course in October.
This short course is specifically designed for early-career seed laboratory technicians who are actively involved in testing. The training focuses on hands-on laboratory techniques supported by lectures and classroom discussions, with special relevance for technicians working in or seeking employment with NSHS-accredited laboratories.
The three day agenda includes:
- NSHS method Be 4.3 – Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens on beans
- NSHS method Mz 1.1 – Stenocarpella maydis on maize
- NSHS method So 7.1 – Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) on tomato and pepper
Registration is $1,895 for non-accredited NSHS companies, and $1,695 for NSHS accredited companies and STB Graduate Students. Space is limited.
To ensure broad participation, please limit registrations to no more than two individuals per company.
