About the event

Artists and Archives: Creating Contemporary Art from History
A collaborative discussion between University Museums and the University Library’s department of Special Collections and University Archives examining how artists have used archives as resources for the creation of contemporary art. Learn more about the most recent experience with artist Beth Lipman as she utilized Special Collection objects for the glass elements tracing the past, present, and future of Iowa State University in her new public sculpture, Hive Mind.
