Spend a peaceful, creative day immersed in the delicate beauty of British birds in this full-day watercolour workshop with local artist Zoë Duncan.
Using either your own reference photos or images provided, you’ll learn to observe the unique colours, forms, and character of some of our most loved feathered friends — then bring them to life on paper in your own expressive painting.
During this relaxed and supportive session, you’ll:
🪶 Choose a bird that inspires you
🪶 Explore composition and how to plan your piece
🪶 Learn wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry watercolour techniques
🪶 Master fine details like feathers, beaks, and eyes
👩🎨 About Zoë
Zoë is a professional artist with a passion for wildlife, especially birds in motion. She’s as comfortable painting free-flowing, expressive watercolours as she is with fine, detailed bird illustration. With 16+ years of teaching experience and an MA in progress at Central Saint Martins, you’re in excellent hands – whatever your skill level.
🖼 By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation of birdlife and a personal watercolour painting (or two!) to be proud of.
