We’re delighted to welcome back Niki Bell, a highly respected local artist and member of the Buckinghamshire Art Society, to lead a **one-day immersive watercolour workshop** at The Pavilion.
In this peaceful, inspiring setting, you’ll paint a countryside creature that captures your heart — foxes, deer, hares, rabbits, or pheasants — guided by expert tuition that helps you slow down, observe, and translate the quiet beauty of nature into expressive watercolour art.
**This workshop is perfect for:**
• Complete beginners looking to learn new skills
• More experienced artists wishing to refine techniques and develop their artistic voice
**During the day you’ll explore:**
• Finding strong starting points through simple shapes
• Developing lines to bring character and life to your subject
• Understanding colour and working with a limited palette
• Watercolour application and key techniques
All materials are supplied, though you’re welcome to bring your own paints and brushes. Please bring reference images of the creature you’d like to paint. Don’t forget a packed lunch — and as always, enjoy unlimited hot drinks and homemade cakes (vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options available).
By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a beautiful, unique painting, new skills, and lots of confidence to continue exploring watercolour at home.
