Community Art Day

Community Art Day is on Valentines Day, February 14th from 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM.
Make origami hearts, design decorative boxes, and try furoshiki wrapping — the traditional Japanese way to wrap gifts and everyday items with cloth. Drop in and get creative!

In conjunction with Community Art Day, NEHMA will be hosting the Clean Air Poster Contest Award and Ceremony!

The Utah High School Clean Air Marketing Contest started in 2015 and was created to encourage Utahns to help keep their air healthy through carpooling, using alternative transportation, limiting idling, and trip chaining (completing multiple errands at a time to limit unnecessary driving). The messaging and artwork are often provocative, funny, and edgy. This year’s entries include parodies on teen pop culture and famous paintings, references on how air pollution may impact the 2034 Utah Winter Olympics, and provocative messages about idling in the drive-thru and national parks.
Five celebrities serve on the judges’ panel to select this year’s winners. They include Salt Lake Tribune political cartoonist Pat Bagley, pop singer Jessica Baio, ABC4 News anchor Alyssa Royster, EcoChef Christopher Galarza, and USU President Brad Mortensen

Winners of the 2026 Utah High School Clean Air Marketing Contest will be announced at Community Art Day at 10:30 AM.
