Get ready to roll back the clock! The Munson Classic is a tribute to the legendary Kingpin, filmed right here at Fair Oaks Lanes in November 1995. Under new management and brimming with nostalgia, this is more than a tournament—it’s a celebration of strikes, style, and cinematic flair.
🎮 TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Two 15-Frame Games
That’s right—15 frames, scored by hand. No fancy tech, just pure throwback fun.
As Ishmael proudly declared: “Wh-wh-wh-what do you expect? I mean, you guys with your 10 frames. My grandpa always taught me to bowl 15 frames. It’s like I told you before—we Amish, we do everything half again as hard as you do.”
Big Ern’s Showdown Eliminator Final
After qualifying, 1 in 3 bowlers will advance to the showdown.
Bowlers face off in a 15-frame eliminator—field cut in half each round until only 3–5 remain.
Finalists battle it out in one last 15-frame game to crown the first-ever Munson Classic Champion.
Handicap System
Handicap: 135% of 230, based on your 2024–2025 league average.
Equivalent to 90% in a standard 10-frame format.
No last season average? Bring proof of current league play (of at least 9 games). No proof? You’ll bowl scratch.
10 pin rule will NOT apply for this tournament.
