Discover the Art and History of Early American Coverlets with Gay McGeary

Join Old Economy in partnership with Three Rivers Fiber Focus for a special presentation by Gay McGeary, who will share her extensive research on early 19th-century American handwoven coverlets. Through years of study and hands-on experience, Gay has learned from master weavers how to design, draft, and weave historical coverlets by examining surviving examples, handwritten patterns, and period account books.

Following her talk, Gay will be available to provide insights into early coverlets brought by attendees. If you would like her to examine a coverlet, please email a few photos in advance to:
