It involves holding passive yoga poses for 3 to 20 minutes while fully supported by props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks, and straps. Props allow the body to sink into each posture comfortably.

• Daily restorative practices
• Learn the history of restorative yoga, why we practice, and the benefits
• Learn all of the poses listed in the manual including transitions from poses
• Learn your props and new ways to use them plus how to teach with minimal props
• Practice teaching restorative yoga

Nicole Durant, E-RYT 500, YACEP, is a Philadelphia suburb yoga teacher who has taught over 5,000 hours of yoga classes and many specialized yoga and meditation workshops for over nine years. When Nicole wanted to learn more about yoga, she enrolled and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2015. Since then, she has done Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, and other advanced teacher training, including a 300-hour training in 2019. Her classes are challenging yet have a fun flow and always have a positive theme.
Nicole Durant is a continuing education Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) provider. Students who complete this Restorative Yoga Teacher Training can use this certification as 25 hours of continuing education hours for Yoga Alliance.

Optional YA CEU: Complete this in-person 20-hour training with an additional 5 hours of independent study to get a total of 25 YA CEU. After the training, the students will be assigned to come up with a 30-45 minute restorative yoga sequence. Once the students have created a sequence they will teach Nicole via Zoom. This independent study is only for those students seeking Yoga Alliance CE’s.
