Auditions for TheatreAC’s first show of the season, [TITLE OF SHOW], will occur on August 15th and 16th in the Amarillo College Experimental Theatre on the Washington Street Campus. The following is the information necessary for auditionees:
• Friday, August 15th at 7:00PM—COLD-READINGS—auditionees will be reading from sides (scenes from the script) with assigned scene partners as necessary. Auditionees will be able to check out perusal scripts starting Monday August 11th for a 24-hour window of time to familiarize themselves with the story. No monologues will be required for this audition.
• Saturday, August 16th at 7:00PM—MUSIC SELECTIONS—auditionees will prepare and perform a comedic/light-hearted song from a modern musical not to exceed 32 bars OR one-minute in performance length (auditionee’s preference). Preference is given to those who bring sheet music for our accompanist to play, but recorded, Bluetooth accompaniment will be acceptable. Our music director and accompanist may also have auditionees sing scales to find vocal ranges.
AUDITIONEES SHOULD PLAN TO ATTEND BOTH NIGHTS.
[TITLE OF SHOW] will begin rehearsals on the first day of class, August 25th, and will perform October 9-12, 2025. For more information, please contact Ray Newburg, director, at
