Artists in Our Midst Awards Ceremony

An annual collaboration between SAMA Altoona and Art in Common, Artists in Our Midst continues the Museum’s mission of celebrating and supporting the visual arts of the Southern Alleghenies region. The exhibition offers the public an opportunity to experience diverse artistic voices and provides a platform for both emerging and established artists to share their work with the community. Showcasing the creativity and talent of regional artists, Artists in Our Midst features 50 works in a variety of media, all selected by juror Jess Campbell, Visual Arts Assistant Professor and Department Chair of the Fine Arts Department at Saint Francis University. Campbell also determined the recipients of this year’s awards, which include First, Second, and Third Place, and Honorable Mention. A People’s Choice Award will also be presented, voted on by visitors of the opening reception. All awards are monetary and are made possible through the support of Art in Common’s sponsors.
