Australians generate a mountains of waste, and we need more help to recycle and reuse

When looking to the future we need to focus on our environment and the foot print we leave behind. We at Altona Gate Kindergarten are organising a market that will assist in avoiding, reducing waste, and land-fill by reusing, recycling and upcycling items.

Info: We will have stalls set up inside the venue at the Walker Close Community Centre and some spaces available in the carpark in front of the community centre. Stallholders inside will receive access to (2) two chairs and a trestle table where they can set up their items. The carpark stalls set up will be provided by each stall holder – they will be suppling their own Marquee/Gazebo and stall set. Trading at the event will be between 9am and 1.30pm to the local community, the space will be available to for stallholders to set up at 8am, trading will cease at 1.30pm. From there, all stallholders will be required to pack up and leave the stall area neat and tidy by 2pm. Please make sure you take any, and all rubbish with you. Let’s leave the fabulous venue as we found it! If you do leave anything behind, we reserve the right to invoice you for its clean-up and/or removal.

Info: Trading at the event will be between 9am and 1.30pm. By purchasing a stall space, you agree to trade between these hours. Please make sure your stall is accessible for people of different body sizes, provides room for mobility aids and prams to safely navigate, and is clear of clutter or trip hazards. Make sure your merchandise is firmly secure.

We reserve the right to invoice stallholders for any damage to property.

What you can sell

• Pre-loved, reclaimed, home-made or recycled products.

• All merchandise must be clean, neat and of good quality.


What you can’t sell

• Please also note the following banned sales, substances and activities: prescription medications, illegal or offensive items, firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons or dangerous goods of any kind, any items that have legal restrictions upon their sale or disposal, cigarettes/alcohol/drugs and illegal drug-related products.

Info: Trading will cease at 1.30pm. From there, all stallholders will be required to pack up and leave the stall area neat and tidy by 2.00pm. Ceasing trading before 1.30pm is not possible. Please make sure you take any, and all rubbish with you, including any broken items. Let’s leave the fabulous venue as we found it! If you do leave anything behind, we reserve the right to invoice you for its clean-up and/or removal
