The Seminole Education, Restoration, and Volunteer (SERV) Program and the Cuplet Fern Chapter of Florida Native Plant Society invite you to participate in a fun mapping** and invasive plant removal project! Help to protect biodiversity and reduce the spread of harmful invasive species at Lake Lotus Park. Please plan to get muddy during the event.
DATE/TIME: Saturday, 12/13/25, 9:30 am - 12 pm
KICK-OFF: Lake Lotus Park in Altamonte Springs. Please note that we will be meeting outside the publicly accessible park at their birding trail. There is a small grass parking area just slightly past the main entrance down the road, right when you turn onto Gateway Dr. (28°38'26.8"N 81°25'24.4"W). A map will be distributed to those who sign up.
COST: Free!
ATTIRE: Closed toe shoes are required (e.g. boots, water shoes, old sneakers that can get wet). Old clothes and work gloves are recommended.
ADDITIONAL: Bring your own water to drink. Sun protection and bug protection may also be desired.

**The mapping component of this event is optional. For this part of the project, participants will use the "EDDMapS Pro" phone app, which should be downloaded prior to attending.
