NEHCA is coming to eastern New York! Come join the Northeast Highland Cattle Association at Thatcher Show Farm located in Altamont, NY, for the 2025 Annual Membership Meeting & Fall Gathering!
This event includes five guest educational speakers, a catered lunch, a silent and live auction, the NEHCA Annual Meeting, and a Highland cattle farm tour! This event provides an educational opportunity and fun for northeast breeders of all ages and experience levels!
Special Guest Speakers include:
Dr. Amy Willsey, New York Department of Agriculture,will present current changes in federal and state drug laws concerning the need for prescriptions to obtain drugs for the treatment of livestock.
- Dr. Daniela Gonzales Carranza, Extension Educator at Cornell Cooperative Extension, presenting on BVD, the importance of BVD testing, and bovine respiratory issues.
- Rick Fortune, Electrician, presenting on electrical farm safety
- Educators Sarah Welsh and John May, of Farm Safety Fund, presenting on the importance and implementation of farm safety while handling livestock.
Come celebrate heritage breed agriculture and expand your agricultural network. Many breeders have breeding stock for sale- come meet them in person!
