Childhood trauma can have lasting effects on health, behavior, and development. This training provides participants with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of how trauma impacts children and how families, professionals, and communities can respond with resilience-building strategies.
Through current research and practical insights, participants will gain tools to recognize the effects of childhood adversity and explore collaborative approaches to supporting children’s well-being.
By the end of this session, participants will:
• Gain an understanding of how trauma impacts children.
• Learn about current research and insights on childhood adversity.
• Recognize common effects of trauma on health, behavior, and development.
• Explore ways families, professionals, and communities can build resilience
