🧶🐑 Step into History—Wool Waulking at the Museum!
Join us on Sunday, August 17th from 1–4pm as we demonstrate the age-old tradition of wool waulking—a hands-on, community method of finishing cloth that dates back to medieval Europe!

You’ll see how woven wool was cleaned, shrunk, and softened by hand and foot to become the warm, water-resistant fabric known in the Highlands of Scotland and beyond.

Bring your curiosity and come learn how everyday people turned wool into wearable warmth—before washing machines and fabric softener! 😉
