Good evening!
On Thursday March 21,2024 I reached out here on Facebook to request donations for girls underwear and some supplies we could gather up and donate to Hopewell Jr High after an email I received from our school nurse. We had a lot of great feedback and wanted to start something new. We want to create an opportunity for our community to join us and put together some “Period Survival Kits” for when our young ladies experience a day they weren’t quite prepared for.
This project will be organized by the Hopewell Jr High PTSA but will be an event that will solely be funded by how many donations we can collect either monetary or products. Our goal is to supply each elementary school, the Jr High, and the High School with kits to help our girls. This means we need all the help we can get. We are looking to find sources that we can connect with to obtain panty liners, pads, tampons, feminine wipes, and even some individual small chocolates. We will also need to package these products so if you find yourself with an overwhelming amount of travel bags, Ipsy bags or any small bags… we’re going to need them!
This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a yearly event. So if you know a company, if you have a connection, if you have the want to donate products or a monetary donation towards our project please join this event. We will also need hands on help to stuff these bags. Come join us and bring a friend. We look forward to adding to this event but wanted to get the ball rolling so come the new school year we can share our project success with our district nurses.

3 pads
3 panty liners
1 tampon
1 feminine wipe
1 chocolate
…. An emergency kit for the day you just weren’t planning. Whether it be a first for our young one or a visit that wasn’t scheduled. We know our nurses will be prepared!
